SICK

Ugh. I'm sick. I think maybe it was a combination of the holidays, and all the partays, and the fact that I stayed up till 9:00 a.m. on New Years. Plus, I went sledding when I could feel myself coming down with something. I'm Chris Evans. I never get sick! I feel pretty miserable right now......I don't wish this misery one anyone. I took the last two days off work.....thats the first time in my 3 year carreer, that I'v had to do that. I need to go lay down now....catch ya later.

Wow. Its been a while since I'v posted! I'v been pretty busy with work and this holiday season......so I guess I had better write something before you all stop dropping by to read this.

Not a whole lot has happened since I wrote last..... I broke the axle in my Jeep when it was snowy a couple of weeks ago. I was pulling out of a parking lot and I jumped on the throttle a little hard.....and since it was slick my wheels spun.....Until they hit a dry spot on the pavement. The torque and the wheels suddenly coming to a stop, proved to much for my axle to handle and there was a loud crunch witch was my axle shearing off. bummer. At first I thought I might have dropped my tranny.......luckly it was only the axle. So I had to have my Jeep towed.(sob) It was hard watching my Jeep drive off behind a tow truck! I have a great mechanic dad who just happened to have the right parts to fix my Jeep laying around the house, so he fixed it at no cost to me. Thanks Dad! OH. also I left the dome light on in my car for like 2 days.........Which resulted in a dead battery. oops. I'm sure my stupid stunts that I do to my Jeep is a cause of frustration for my father.....I don't share his mechanical skills or driving smarts. oh well.

Also, when there was snow on the ground, Caleb and Nate and I had fun going and doing brodys in empty parking lots.........it was great fun doing cool 360 and 180 maneuvers........until I bumped up against the curb a little to hard and broke the bead on my tire resulting in an intsantanious flat tire. That pretty much ended that fun for the night. Live and learn.......the important thing is that every time I do something stupid in my Jeep I learn something new........right?

My dad thinks this post is getting to long.......I'm spending Christmas Eve at my parents house.......He thinks I should name my blog.. Chris' blabby blog. He dosn't quite understand the whole blog thing. He's learning.......welcome to the technical world pa. I better get off before he comes over here and starts beating on me.....I can take him! lol..... have a merry Christmas!

Road Trip! (cont.)

Well...........We made it back in one piece. Our trip went pretty good........no major hang ups. The car made it without blowing up, so I was happy. It only drank a quart of oil every 150 miles or so!! We had an electrical disaster in northern Oregon on our way back......... see, Andy wired a power inverter to my car, so that Caleb could power his laptop..........well at about 3:30 in the morning, a spark ignited at my feet, which was followed by thick black smoke pouring up in my face! Somehow the wires crossed or something, and they shorted, resulting in a small wire frying. No real problems, except Caleb, and Jake were devastated by the loss of power for the laptop. ( they could no longer watch movies ) which was fine with me, cause it was distracting anyway. :) The car had no mechanical difficulties except for it overheated in San Francisco (I don't think it liked flying up and down those steep hills) but again, no worries..... we just added water to the radiator and we were off again.

We had a little run in with the cops when we were down there too!!

We pulled into Oakland at about 5:00 in the morning on Friday, and we immediately started looking for a parking lot to sleep in........ so like after 20 minutes of wandering aimlessly through a suburban nightmare, in which we got hopelessly lost, we finally found an monarail station parking lot to bed down in. We had gotten about 4 hours of broken sleep when we awoke to someone banging on our window, telling us to keep our hands were they could see them. It was the cops. Apparently they didn't appretiate us sleeping in the monarail parking area, and taking up parking space (one spot?) so, they did an ID check on us, and called us into headquarters, and stuff, then they told us we could move across the street and park in the strip mall if we wanted. Oops! Wish we had done that in the first place!!! Oh Well!

We had a great time watching Aaron play basketball.........Unfortunately they lost both games, but they had a good time. Aaron was surprised to see us, and we got to visit with him for a few hours, so that was cool.

Well, I guess that wraps it up......there is a ton more to share, but it would be far to long of a post..........if I get a chance, I might write about the "dashed olive hopes" story, or the "how many hours can Jake play the computer straight?" story, or maybe the "driving illegally in SF" story..........maybe someday soon........

well.....what do you all think about this?

Posting late......or early?

k. so is it late or early? not sure...... I would say early. anyway, so I drank like kinda a lot of dew at the par-tay last night. I really don't drink that much anymore....really. I know most of you are laughing hysterically, or rolling your eyes, as you read this, but its true.... I'v cut back my dew intake. I'm not sure why i'm confessing this to you all.....maybe to prove that i won't get diabetes or die young or whatever...so for those of you dear friends concerned about my health, I'm getting better! :) I think I'm mainly a social drinker, of dew that is.... I have like one can or maybe two a day now, plus coffee, but I have cut back. So no worrys now!

In other news, works going good, i'm sharpening my managering skills, learning new stuff every day. Chuck Bergeron is back working for Site Prep. Its kinda weird..... when he left he was my boss, now he's back and I'm his boss now! But we get along really well....Chuck is a relentless teaser!!!! I like working with him.

Well, I guess I had better go..... Sorry for the long silence on the blog.... busy ya know. Soon Hopefully I'm planning a par-tay out at the bach. pad...... maybe a theme or something. Any idea's?

Well, catch ya later, got some more stuff to do before bed! :)

Ewwwww......Gross!!!

WARNING!!!

FOLLOWING DIALOG, DEPICTS GROSS, AND OR, DISGUSTING CONTENT!

O.k. now that I'v warned you, let me explain.....
Chris and I jumped into the hot tub tonight for a relaxing time before bed. Sounds great right? uh huh. So like after 10 or 15 minutes in the soothing jets of the 100 degree waters, I was moving around in the water, when my hand brushed something slimy. Ok, so I'm thinking maybe some algae (in a hot tub?) or something like that. Any way, I reached down and felt around thinking that perhaps I imagined it in the heat. No. There it was again. Definitely something slick, and slimy. My hand jerked back in disgust, abhorred at the feeling. I was thinking now maybe it was a loose seal around the filter? You know how an old seal can be slimy and gross? So I turned to Chris who was basking next to me, "Hey, feel this right here...... what is that?" So he reached down and felt around till he brushed it. "Gross, what is that?" He exclaimed. We didn't know what it was, and we couldn't see anything because of all the air bubbles it the water. So Chris jumped out to grab his flashlight, while I was left to contemplate this "thing" down in the water. Long and short of it was, it turned out to be A SLUG!!!!!!!!!!! Gross!!!!!!! Somehow a slug worked its way up under the cover, and fell in the water, then got sucked up to the filter, where it sat for who knows how long. NASTY!! Needless to say this sent us running into the house yelling for Wes to come deal with it, while Chris writhed in the thought of soaking in slug water. Ha Ha Ha !!!!! So that's the jist of our hot tub experience..... If any of you are interested in coming over to try out our tub, just call ahead, and we'll make reservations with the slug population first! Oh, and maybe bring your Correy's Slug and Snail Bait as well!!!!!
